Salma Hayek's Husband Admits to Fathering Supermodel's Son
July 1, 2011, (Sawf News) - Supermodel Linda Evangelista documents filed in a New York court seeking child support for his son, Augustin James, 4, husband of Salma Hayek Francois-Henri Pinault.
The documents indicate that Augustine "was born out of wedlock to [petitioner] Linda Evangelista, 46, and [Pinault] acknowledged [his] claim," a source tells People magazine.
Augustine was designed in early 2006.
Hayek and Pinault - CEO of PPR, a French multinational holding company worth $ 28 billion that owns Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves Saint Laurent - met in Venice in May 2006.They started dating soon after, but kept their relationship low key. In March 2007, they announced their engagement and Hayek's pregnancy.
Their daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, was born September 21, 2007.
The couple broke their engagement in July 2008 but later reconciled and married on Valentine's Day 2009 in Paris.
In the past Evangelista denied Pinault was the father of Augustine. One year after the birth of St. Augustine, she said the boy's father was "an architect of New York".
Pinault, 49, and Hayek, 44, also refused to recognize the boy saying that Hayek Pinault has three children - Valentina and two of his previous marriage.
Evangelista is reported to have filed the petition for child support after the couple failed to reach a settlement out of court. Pinault was a show not family court in Manhattan Thursday, but only because of a misunderstanding, said his lawyer, David Aronson.
"We knew it was for a brief conference call," Mr. Aronson said.
Under New York law, a father has to pay 17 percent of their income for child support.Bloomberg Businessweek, Pinault 2010 salary was $ 5.4 million.
